Flying Sparks

Some million years in cooling,
as around the sun we spin.
Dead volcano’s in their fooling,
hide the molten mass within.

Are we then, just a flying spark,
in real time, quickly dying.
Travel-ing off, into eternal dark,
a million spark-lets flying.

So is our life just a second long,
as the May Fly’s life a day.
Tiny creatures clinging on,
spinning on our way.

Has Mother Nature adapted us,
to live this cosmic second.
Birth, life and death with little fuss,
in time cannot be reckoned.

She also gave us, faith, hope and love.
and a courage to survive.
travel-ing through the heavens above,
until we at last arrive.
